The proposal to merge lp:~gunnarhj/language-selector/fix-553162 into lp:language-selector has been updated.

Description changed to:

* Set also LC_MESSAGES for applications that don't recognize LANGUAGE
* GDM related fixes:
  - Update dmrc when LANGUAGE and LC_MESSAGES are set, not when LANG
    is set.
  - Handle changes via GDM's language picker in conformity with
    language changes via language-selector.
* Install script that adds LC_MESSAGES to /etc/default/locale,
  /etc/environment and ~/.profile as a one-time measure.

Packages with the changes are easily available for testing (in Maverick or Natty) at
