What was done engineering wise?
* Preparation of the unity 5.4.0 release - 71 fixes
* unfortunately, several issues were discovered outside of the test suite and blocked the release: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bugs?field.tag=5.4-blocker
* the issues have been fixed, and the change related to the 'alt tap detection' feature has been reverted to unblock the release
* a new upload window has been requested (and accepted) for today and 5.4 is now making its way into the Ubuntu archive
* unity-2d 5.4 was released as well
* Compiz 0.9.7 - 111 fixes!
* Compiz was finally uploaded in Precise!
* There are a few known issues that have been granted an exception to clear the way for the new release: https://launchpad.net/compiz-core/+milestone/0.9.7.2
* The release schedule for unity components is documented at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Unity/ReleaseSchedule
* Identified FFEs
* HUD support for Unity-2D
* Locally Integrated Menus (LIM) support (both 2d and 3d)
* Coverflow view (once integrated to the test suite)
