Exam Announcement: Linux Professional Institute Certification LPIC Exams in
Pakistan

ABOUT LPIC
Linux Professional Institute Certifications are the defacto Linux
certification exams and the LPI Certification program is designed to certify
the competency of system administration using the Linux operating system and
its associated tools. It is designed to be distribution and vendor neutral,
following the Linux Standards Base and other relevant standards and
conventions used by the Free and Open Source Software community around the
world. LPIC exams are open to everyone.

In commencement of its operations in Pakistan as of July 2007, Linux
Professional Institute Pakistan http://www.lpipakistan.org a sub-affiliate
of Linux Professional Institute (South Asia Region) http://www.lpi.org is
pleased to announce the availability of the following LPI Certification
Exams through PBT (Paper Based Tests) to be conducted in various cities of
Pakistan during the second week of February 2008. 

LPIC OFFERINGS  

LPI Pakistan is offering all available LPI™ certification Exam Labs in
English Language through Paper Based Tests covering:

Level 1: Junior Level Linux Professional.
Comprises of Exam Labs LPIC 101 & LPIC 102 

Level 2: Advanced Level Linux Professional.
Comprises of Exam Labs LPIC 201 & LPIC 202 

Level 3: Senior Level Linux Professional.
Comprises of Exam Labs LPIC 301 & LPIC 302

COSTS?  
*Note: Candidates may pay the fees in Pakistan Rupees; the exchange rate
will be announced prior to exams.

Level 1
The usual cost for LPIC Exam Labs are USD 150 (approximately Rs.9,150) per
exam paper, LPI Pakistan will provide discounted Paper Based Tests for Level
1. The discounted cost of the local exams will be Rs.6,100 per Level 1 exam
paper. 

For example, if you are sitting for the LPIC 101 and LPIC 102 Exam Labs,
your total cost will be Rs. 12,200. This price may change over time
according to availability of stock and examination budgets as this is NOT a
profit making initiative.

Level 2
This Exam Lab is being offered at its usual cost of USD 150 per exam paper.
The total cost for LPIC 201 & LPIC 202 is US$300.

Level 3
This Exam Lab is being offered at its usual cost of USD 150 per exam paper.
The total cost for LPIC 301 & LPIC 302 is US$300.

Exam 199_EN
The cost for the single paper LPI Exam Lab for the Ubuntu Certified
Professional is US$150.
