[ubuntu-nz] 11.04 freezes when playing dvd

A bit of extra information will be needed. What codecs are you using?
Gstreamer? What version of Ubuntu / Linux core have you?
Did this start happening after an upgrade?

Type top into a terminal. You will get an active list of what is using
the CPU. If you do this before things get too busy to be able to tell
you, you will be able to see what process rises to the top of the list
before the system crashes.
