Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please try with another profile ? 
Maybe your profile has been corrupted. 

Open Firefox from the terminal with the following command

    firefox -ProfileManager

Create a new profile and test it from there.

If it works, then you should think to reset your firefox.  Help →
Troubleshooting information → Reset Firefox.
