Ubuntu 8.10 reached EOL on 2010-04-29.
Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases:

Since this does appear to be fixed using the later versions of Ubuntu
and Firefox, we closing it as invalid.

Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
