I have been using SKIM under KDE environment. I did faced some problem
last time in KBabel. I was able to enter Tamil Texts while naming a file
etc., in KBabel. But when I tried to translate a word and go to the
appropriate text box to enter the Tamil Text.. The cursor flashes.. It
blinks without giving any output..

I have lost that Kubuntu environment.. I will re-configure them back..
and let u know in details.. Have u heard similar problems?
