Is Kubuntu environment necessary one to run KDE? Strating from Ubuntu
CD I got KDE installed without Kubuntu themes etc. Anyway I find I can
input to QT apps on GNOME itself and I prefer GNOME. KBabel is new for
me - I had only tried the Project Configuration page. Will try more
soon including translation area.

Would like to know more on how configurations are done on KBabel for
an actual example of an app you are all translating - for example see
my scrn shot http://i10.tinypic.com/2yv4076.png which is Project
Configuration Dialog box. Do we have to fill in language code,
language mailing list etc and where do we indicate the downstream site
for which translation is done? Also are the PO files served from
downstream site online while we use KBabel or do we first download and
translate using online only for dictionary?

Well, bye for now - sleepy very much
