[ubuntu-in] Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat Won't Run On Processors Below i686

Thanks for the topic.

Based on reading all these, yesterday I downloaded Debian Lenny CD (180 MB)
(netinst) AMD64 ISO.  I have Intel Core2 Duo (i686), 2GB, 250GB HD, Lenovo
Laptop.

I tried this on the Virtual Box.  It started booting in live for
installation, but it stopped saying that MicroProcessor is not compatible
with this ISO. (I forgot the exact message).

Is it possible that the virtual box has its own processor type - apart from
the host microprocessor.

Also, could you let me know what ISO should I download - for testing the 64
bit OS
