Thanks for the topic.<br><br>Based on reading all these, yesterday I downloaded Debian Lenny CD (180 MB) (netinst) AMD64 ISO.  I have Intel Core2 Duo (i686), 2GB, 250GB HD, Lenovo Laptop.<br><br>I tried this on the Virtual Box.  It started booting in live for installation, but it stopped saying that MicroProcessor is not compatible with this ISO. (I forgot the exact message).<br>
<br>Is it possible that the virtual box has its own processor type - apart from the host microprocessor.<br><br>Also, could you let me know what ISO should I download - for testing the 64 bit OS<br><br>thanks<br><br>sivakumar<br>
