[ubuntu-in] Synaptic error - what to do ??

You can edit /var/lib/dpkg/status file. This file consists the list of all
the packages installed. Your package might say half installed or some thing
like that. Either remove the entry for your particular package or change
status to install ok installed. This should by pass your problem.

This is just a work around though.
