[ubuntu-in] Newbie with Ubuntu Linux 6.06 (Brijesh)

Hi,
My thanks and appreciation to Priyank Khamitkar and Rajasekar Yeruva for
their valaubale suggestions, i have installed Ubuntu 6.06 on my pc and also
Tata Indicom LSP 340e telephone for internet connection .( Priyank , yes ,
installer did ask me for abt 2 gb of contiguous space for installation but
i used gparted for maual resizing and it worked like a charm.)
Took a rookie in linux like me sometime to figure out using the nano and vi
editors but its finally done.
Have run scanModem to identity my modem chipset and will try to get the
drivers to configure my pci pctel hsp56 modem tonite.
