Computer suppliers information

My experience has been the best route is to build your own pc from parts or pay someone to do it for you. You get a better spec for less money at cost of a bit of your time. Not so easy for laptops! My brother in law who works for dell says the xps13 developer edition built for ubuntu is due for the irish market 'soon', despite the media releases saying it is already available.

Good luck with getting back your 'windows tax'. It may be your legal right, but the suppliers make sure that you will have to work harder than Martin Luther King to claim your rights. I did a run at Acer for this and their ploy was: 'You will have to courier your machine to us at your own expense that we can remove the software we own from it.' An argument which is legally flawed on many levels, but I realised it would be an epic quest against a mega corporate complex to claim my rights. Gandhi I am not!
