Hi,
Today, the Ubuntu Hardened project was started, in order to organize the
efforts and work regarding the old Hardened Debian goals fulfilling
within Ubuntu Linux.
I would like to thank Brandon Hale for helping and organizing it
together with me, also Andrew Mitchell and other Ubuntu MOTU's.
Some pages have been created in the wiki to track our activities, and
soon more will be available in the forthcoming weeks:
https://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/UbuntuHardened
https://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/UbuntuHardenedToolchain
https://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/UbuntuHardenedKernel
Now, we need to discuss on the topics and terms presented at those
pages, so, we could present and evaluate some information before
starting the real deployment, which will be targeted for Hoary+1 and up.
Thanks in advance, cheers.
PS: I will be away during the next week, starting from this Saturday 12.
