sugerencia para hacer mas rapida y practica la traduccion

Dash, como Launcher o Menu o Toolbar se traducen porque Ubuntu se usa
por millones de hispanohablantes que no tienen nada que ver con
computación y no conocen estos matices entre GNOME, Ubuntu... Es
decir, se traducen y en mi opinión es correcto hacerlo así, porque se
trata de un SO que debe ser accesible a millones de personas que ni
saben ni entienden qué significa Dash. Es lógico no traducir el nombre
de una aplicación que debemos considerar como nombre propio (e incluso
como marca registrada), así Firefox no se traduce, pero sí que
traducimos el Gestor de red (Network Manager) por ejemplo. El trabajo
del equipo de traducción es hacer accesible a todas las personas el
uso de un sistema operativo que quiere ser muy popular y que no se
hace para un selecto grupo de usuarios aventajados, así que el
ejercicio de traducción debe ir tan lejos como sea posible, evitando
traducir aquello que ya está instalado en el habla corriente. (módem,
por ejemplo).
Otro debate que se puede dar es la traducción que se ha dado a Dash
(tablero) es correcta o habría otra mejor y compartida por todos o la
mayoría, y en eso pues estaría de acuerdo, pero en mi modesta opinión
traducirlo es realmente necesario.
