Oh, excuse me for not finding the bug report before asking. I didn't
even search because I thought that such a bug couldn't remain unfixed
for long O:-)
Unfortunately, I cannot say to my CTO "oh, if after running my script
you can't connect to the given URL just go and reboot the image, don't
worry." For me it's reasonable, but I guess he's expecting something
more reliable ;-)
Umh... maybe EC2 is getting faster now and this amplifies the problem,
but I reproduced the bug three times in a row yesterday... :-/
I've just tried a Debian Lenny base 64 image from Alestic and it seems
to boot fine, so I'm going to test it a few more times and if it's
stable I'll stick to that. Do you think this could have the same
problem? Anyway I'm going to read the init scripts myself now.
