Where do ubuntu-docs translations go?

Hi :)

I think this argument keeps getting repeatedly argued about and has been 
discussed many times.  I think people usually end by agreeing that having a  
separate website for each LoCo is the best way to continue rather than 
re-organising everything.  I think someone is working at a site that essentially 
just redirects people to the right site but displays the information slightly 
differently.  I would assume that each LoCo produces a fairly different website 
as different cultures may find different styles of documentation more useful 
rather than just copying what has happened to grow in english.  Pages and the 
structure of the help-pages are surely different in each LoCo site?

I was hoping that the front page of the standard english/american site would 
give links to all the LoCo sites.  If everyone had a page like that then it 
would make it easy to direct people to the right LoCo website

Thanks for your valuable information! We have already started the
process of converting/uploading the docs to the Greek site.

Maybe it's better every translation to go in the correct loco site...
I'm not sure though, as I think it's also good idea to have things
organized in a certain place and offer language auto-detection functions
like in http://ubuntu-manual.org/ ... (I really like it), maybe avoid
possible mistakes or omissions and update the site automatically from
launchpad for all languages at the same time. It would be more
"solid" :-)

Launchpad is confusing... why is this empty

At present we do not include translated documentation on
help.ubuntu.com. That's not because of any technical difficulty in
doing so, but rather because the Ubuntu websites (such as
www.ubuntu.com and help.ubuntu.com) currently have a policy of
publishing in English only, and encouraging local teams to publish
material on their dedicated websites (in your case
http://www.ubuntu-gr.org/). That ensures that users know that they can
find all material related to Ubuntu in their language in one place,
the dedicated local website, and avoids confusion.

There has previously been some discussion about this and I personally
am open to discussing this position with the translation or local
teams if they have views against this policy. But having contributed
for a long time to the Italian local team, I have seen the advantages
of having a single dedicated local website with material all in one
place and I believe that it is a powerful consideration.

There is also an initiative to develop a system whereby users of the
international website are given prominent information about where they
can find material in their language automatically - see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Website/WebsiteLocalization. I do not know
what stage that initiative has got to but once it is ready we can
certainly use it on help.ubuntu.com.

Building and publishing translated documentation is quite simple. We
