What would be needed for translated help.ubuntu.com?

Hi Timo,

The reason for not providing translations on help.u.c is not really a
technical one. It's to preserve consistency with other Ubuntu web
resources, (particularly www.ubuntu.com) in which the current policy
is to encourage local teams to provide localised content on their own
websites, rather than in the main website. So Finnish translations of
the help should be available on the Finnish Ubuntu website, rather
than help.ubuntu.com. I think this is a very sensible policy, although
of course improvements could certainly be made in terms of directing
visitors to the translated websites listed on
http://www.ubuntu.com/support/local where appropriate.

I haven't read your proposal yet on the website list, but I think it
is safe to assume that whatever proposals are made in relation to the
main Ubuntu website, these can also be applied to the help website if
they are sensible.

Matthew
