I wrote a crappy IRC log analysis script a few weeks ago [1], which I'm
hoping to use to collect data on commonly-asked questions on different
topics (e.g. [2]). This could help us to target our
documentation-writing effort more effectively. I'm too busy to play with
it myself, but it would be great if you could have a go and see what
sort of information you can get out of it. It's up to you what you look
for, really, but I'll be happy to give you some pointers if you're
stuck.

The script stores #ubuntu IRC logs line-by-line in an SQLite database,
which I'm connecting to with a Python script. It's pretty easy to work
with if you're into that sort of thing.

Thanks,

Phil
