Also, are these going to be compatible with the VMware Player modules
already included in Ubuntu (multiverse)?

I know it's painful if I install VMware Server with VMware's official
installer, then I install Player from the repo, and the package
overwrites the modules installed by Server (which breaks Server
consequently).
