I don't think that any type of welcome screen or anything like the current
windows xp screen is something that the developers are interested in at
all..

Hi!
I hope to get more in touch with the development of the docs for Feisty!
* I do like the layout for Yelp proposed by Andreas, really interesting.
I think that the documentation should be split in different files to
have direct links into some section, in this way it would aslo be easier
to maintain and to correct possible errors.
* For letting people know more about the docs or Ubuntu, I was thinking
of something like a welcome-app that runs on the first login in a new
install (or upgrade) of Ubuntu (something like Windows did... or still
does). When a new user log in, the Ubuntu desktop is "empty", a new
user, I think, don't know what he/she can do or where to start.
* I think the new docs should also include some screenshots, like the
main window of "users-and-groups" app or synaptic... so it would be
easier to know how to do a task or what to expect to see...
This is my little brainstorming during lunch time... :)
Bye!
