"understand. My point is that to switch from X virtual terminal to text
one, you do have to use Ctrl-Alt-F1, but to switch back, you need to use
Alt-F7 (no Ctrl here!)"

Trying to be consistant for someone who doesnt know how 'this console thing' works is more important then trying to save tehm a keystroke (imo) :)
