Edubuntu Wiki Cleanup

Hi everyone,
[Firstly, the cross-post is necessary since I believe this involves both
teams.]

In a drive to update our web presence, the Edubuntu community is cleaning
house a bit and sorting out with our wiki. Please refer to
https://wiki.edubuntu.org/EdubuntuWikiCleanup for an overview and status of
what we are trying to do and how.

The basis is deciding on:
 - What information goes into the static www.edubuntu.org and what information
   can stay
 - what pages can be deleted, moved, merged or updated
 - what pages should/could naturally fall under the project pages for other
   launchpad teams and products

We are currently using a temporary category (CategoryEdubuntuCleanup) for this
purpose. I know this is preempting the Quality Assurance spec in Launchpad
but hopefully if it is just used temporarily for this purpose and disappears
then nobody will mind.

Following this, we want to turn the edubuntu wiki landing page
(wiki.edubuntu.org/Edubuntu) into more of a site-map (like the Kubuntu wiki)
since the static site (www.edubuntu.org) takes care of most of the
information that is on it.

In future, the more pages that are kept track of under the front page the
better. This will avoid "dangling" pages that get lost in time. Intelligent
use of categories, namespaces and sub-pages should take care of this. Perhaps
we need to flesh out the wiki-guide?

So please concider this a call for contributions to the entire community!
There is strength in numbers!

Regards,
Will van der Leij
