Can Pidgin 2.6(.1) replace Empathy for Karmic now?

Just like to put in my 2 cents that I fully support Empathy as the client in
Karmic. Telepathy is such a powerful framework, and would very much benefit
from getting lots of testing from the Ubuntu community so that most of the
user facing bugs could be ironed out for the next release. That said, it's
quite stable, and has a fair number of features (some of which pidgin will
probably never have- share my desktop!) so it's not like we're dropping
really crappy, unstable software on our users for the sake of testing.
