Personally, outside of this and some previous discussion on this topic in 
Ubuntu I've never seen terms like kibibit, mebibit and gibibit in actual 
use.  I think use of unfamiliar terms is more user hostile than the 
imprecision that is proposed.

I can envision cases where it might be appropriate however (someone might 
package a "honest" disk manager program that has as a goal educating about 
the differences), so I'd suggest must/should, but other than that, plus one.
