    Oh, I understand.  When we started these (Dapper, I think), bug
titles tended to be "merge for foo x.y-z".  This was ambigous, but not
confusing.  At some point, the "Please" was added to the sync requests
in recognition of the efforts of the archive-admin team, which term
also affected merges.

    The process I tend to recommend is that someone performing a merge
first open the bug (with no debdiff), and then work on it, and then
attach the debdiff and subscribe the sponsors.  As a result, "Please
sponsor" will be misleading after the first stage.  Maybe we should
return to "Merge for foo x.y-z"?
