I agree.  I just suggested that as an inititial approach if needed as a 
compromise for initial deployment.  If you can do a source upload then you 
ought to have this capability.  The main thing for now though is to get 
some agreement on policy so that the 'Won't Fix' gets taken of the bug and 
it can get implemented as it fits in the Launchpad developer's schedule.
