| What, exactly, do you see as the difference between a user submitting a bug
| to Debian using their email client, and using Launchpad?
For a start, the preferred way to submit bug reports to Debian is
using reportbug, as this includes both rudimentary duplicate detection
as well as including the versions of the package affected and any
direct dependencies. This is something LP can't do, by virtue of not
being an application running on the user's machine.
| (does debbugs have Launchpad bug watches?).
It has a way to watch other BTS-es. I am not sure whether it has
support for Launchpad or not, but I would be somewhat surprised if it
doesn't.
