I see no reason why it should be necessary to push for these packages to go
into main. The fact that Canonical is building the images for you should
not require any changes of policy on your part, and you can continue to ship
the same software that you otherwise would.
The reason that the standard build process excludes universe is as a safety
mechanism, because we do not want to inadvertently ship software from
universe. It should be possible to modify this for the Ubuntu Studio build.
