Yes you are certainly right. Many people want it.But from a technical
point of view it sucks (might be a bit harsh, but isn't that untrue
after all).
And understandably developers don't want to have to support something
that just isn't done the right way.
Something many people want isn't necessarily good or the right solution.
There is a right solution of course, but implementing it needs resources
and those can only come from someone who is interested in implementing
it. As long as nobody steps up to do this it won't be done.
Developers ARE interested in your suggestions. If you think about it:
How would this thread have become that long if they weren't?
But they don't have to like them.
