| Is there _anyone_ who wants compatible set by default? Is there
| anyone who likes having vi go to the compatible version?

Personally, I prefer running vi to get me classic vi, not some other
variant.  But then, my preferred editor is emacs, so it's not I use vi
for doing anything bigger than changing a few lines here and there.
