try a nearer mirror with the --mirror argument apparently your provider
has a "transparent" proxy in place that somethimes causes this error:

sudo ltsp-build-client --mirror http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu 
for example...

thas why the command spills a warning at the beginning, see launchpad
bug #71237
