you can use ubuntu ltsp the old way (via xdmcp) as well, or you can even
install a whole desktop environment in the chroot to serve thick
clients. additionally there are openssh-server, ssh-krb5, lsh-server in
the archive you could use for ltsp  so a suggests entry in the package
as it is now, is the right way to go ... even if i agree that it would
be more comfortable to have a fixed dependency.

the howto [1] states it in point 3, you are right, point 2 and 3 should
be swapped so the additional ltsp-update-sshkeys of point 3 becomes
obsolete.
