Info about USB --

Hello list,

i hope to be in the right room to post my question and not OT: if not 
delete this mail.
Two info if possible:
- how can make to recover info, book, link as to start my small distro 
from scratch. I have already read the lfs book project. Are disponible 
other valid resource to complete my background.

- I would like to install a minimal snaps files about Ubuntu inside my 
stick usb, or into a general support usb. Ehm ehm..the major problem is 
that i work under PPC Apple filesystem. Please does anyone here can 
support me (documentation, link ecc) as start this, if possible??
