This is completely unsupported and practically guaranteed to fail.  The proper 
way to "upgrade" from Debian to Ubuntu is a clean install.  Also, this is a 
development forum.  Please use the forums, the ubuntu-users mailing list, or 
#ubuntu on IRC for support.
