OpenOffice.org Spellcheck, a bug or just me?

Under Tools/Options/Language Settings/Languages, there are no icons at
all for "Default languages for documents"/Western.  I do, however have
"English (USA)" selected.

Should I remove/reinstall myspell-en-us?
