OpenOffice.org Spellcheck, a bug or just me?

I am running breezy on 2 computers right now both updated to the
latest updates as of today. One was installed from colon3 and one
upgraded from Hoary. Spellcheck is broken on both computers.

Going under tools->options->language settings->writing aids , I see no
language modules available on either computer. I check to see that
myspell-en package is installed and everything seems fine.
