powernowd and laptop mode

I strongly disagree.  CPU scaling still makes sense when on AC because
it greatly reduces heat and should extend the life of the laptop as well
as the fans which would have to run a lot more because of the heat.

Since it scales depending on what is actually required, what is the
problem with running it while on AC?
