language-packs not updated

Yesterday, I filed a bug about missing translations in update-manager and got 
fixed.

Then, 
- the translations are in the source package
- if I debuild it by hand I get the package with translations
- the .deb in the archive is missing translations (because of 
pkgstriptranslations, I guess)
- BUT, these translations are not in language-pack-es

So, what's the method for updating the language packs?
