Revelation in Hoary [Was: Re: Universe and Hoary?]

It seems the issues with Revelation[1] takes me a little further than I
would have liked. I'd like some guidance on this before I go ahead and
push through.

Revelation depends on gnome-python. The upstream developer is currently
using ver. 2.6 of that package, while Hoary provides ver. 2.9. There has
been some API changes that makes the stable version of Revelation break
when using it with gnome-python 2.9 (I also wonder if version 2.9 will
be shipped in Hoary, since I think they use a odd-minor-is-dev-version
versioning strategy?).

I could go ahead and try to upgrade the Revelation package to a dev.
snapshot. However, I see two problems with that:

 1. Shipping Hoary with a development snapshot of Revelation is probably
not a good idea. (If my package even makes it into Hoary :-)

 2. Revelation is in universe, and packaging it specifically for Hoary
will bring "us" out of sync with the Debian package.

Revelation is due for a new release in a few weeks (according to
upstream). When is Hoary due?

Any ideas from insightful people?

/M
