[dapper] problems with rt2500

This sounds like a configuration problem that you might have introduced.
I have a PCI rt2500 card myself, and it worked out of the box with
breezy, and is still working with dapper without any reconfiguration. It
does, however, show up as ra0.

Likely, you need to get rid of your custom settings and let the
configuration tools do their work :)
