Colony 3 problems--my report

I also had many of those same problems. I continue to have these
problems each time a new build of all the X-stuff is released. That
problem with the x-window-system-core has happened 3 times to me and in
every case I just had to play around add/remove to get it functioning
again. Your problems with locale you seemed to overcome nicely. It took
me a week to work it out (still not entirely sure what fixed it) and it
affected me in lots of other places as well.



The whole upgrade process still seems a little on the broken side. I
just recently managed a successful dist/upgrade from a "vanilla" Hoary
installation (under VMWare) without any major breakagaes but still
encountered some of those issues you mentioned.
