I've noticed that network printing in Ubuntu seems to be buggered. I
have a couple of machines at work with the latest upgrades as of 2:00pm
today.
When adding a printer everything goes smoothly, however, the printer
gets named the same as the printer driver and there doesn't seem to be a
way to change it.
Once configured if I try to change the connection settings from say IPP
to SMB it doesn't keep the change.
Also I can't get SMB printing to work at all on either box. I have
Fedora 2 on a separate partition and if I boot back to Fedora, SMB
printing works fine so I suspect Ubuntu.
I doubt I've done anything wrong, this really should work out of the
box, a no brainer. NT CONNECTION STATUS or something similar is the
error message, can't remember and I'm not at work now.
Any comments?
