Mounting Documents folder from iOS

Happy New Year,

For a few releases I have not been able to mount the Documents folder of my iOS
devices under Ubuntu.  This prevents me from copying large videos via cable over 
to VLC for viewing (instead of typing urls and slower wifi).

 From my searching, a few people have mentioned this can be fixed by upgrading
to ifuse 1.1.3 and matching libimobiledevice:

Could this package get bumped up for Xenial/16.04 please?
