Hi,

There's been quite a bit of discussion over at the GNOME usability list
(here:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/usability/2007-January/thread.html) about
this and people have come up with the idea of categorising the files.
Christian Neumair came up with a python script which does this, and
there's notes about that and his script on the wiki page.
