The two are possibly slightly different in their apparent form:

  1. The Scott Kitterman post[1] would appear to be a collection/
  archive of factual information, whose veracity does not appear to be
  in dispute.

  2. The Fridge post[2] is a reproduction using an official
  news source in the name of "José Antonio Rey" of an email/statement
  contained elsewhere.[3]

By way of contrast, neither of the following occured:

  a. publishing a copy-paste of the ScottK archive[1] to fridge.u.c

  b. suggestion to delete an UCC statement[2] from lists.u.c

..Both of which would likely to considered unhelpful: (a) might be
seen to give undue prominence; (b) would be loss of information.
