dual boot problem SOLVED (sort of)

I fixed this a week ago using a fresh installation of Ubuntu 11.04. If
I try Vector Linux again, I'll probably do it as a sole OS or the
first OS.
The only issue remaining on that machine (other than Bug #1 on the
Windows partition) is a second swap partition. I'll get rid of that
soon enough, or make it into encrypted space.

The T420 is working great with Ubuntu so far, and seemed good with
Vector Linux as far as I tested it.
