Printing under Ubuntu

Brother also are a safe bet. Look for the penguin on the packaging, most
brother printers will now say they are linux friendly on the packaging
and other promotional material 

Not all models have linux support, but the ones which do say directly
they do on the website, box etc...So there is no need to blindly guess.
