java apps have blank screen

The blank frostwire screen is a java problem, if you have a look through 
the ubuntu forums, many people have had problems with it, which can 
generally be resolved by downloading the latest java from the sun 
website, then using "sudo update-alternatives --config java" to select 
the newly installed java. running frostwire after that should fix you 
problem.
