BitTorrent client seems way out of date.

In Edgy, the version of bittorrent is 3.4.2-6ubuntu3, where are the
latest version on the Bittorrent website is 5.0.5.

The problem I am having is that the tracker of a file I am trying to
download is rejecting the client because it doesn't support UDP
tracker support.

I installed Qtorrent, but that client is very basic and I can;t limit
up and down bandwidth usage.  I guess I could install Azereus from the
universe repos, but that is way overkill.

Is there a better way to get more up-to-date torrent support in Edgy?

I hope this is an OK place to ask these sorts of questions.
